PanahGah – Every Rescued Cat Deserves a Home
Coco
Coco
In Memory
Coco was impossibly small, no bigger than the palm of a hand. He was rescued showing clear signs of herpesvirus and calicivirus, weak and vulnerable, and in urgent need of medical care. Coco is the 64th rescue of this year at Panahgah. He has now been hospitalized to begin treatment. His recovery has only just started and will require time, careful monitoring, and continued support. Every rescue is more than a single moment of help; it is a long-term commitment to treatment, care, and giving a life a real chance to continue.

Aftab’s leg was broken in three places by people who wanted him out of a parking lot. Doctors said it must be amputated, but his leg was saved after months of treatment. He now walks proudly, his name shining like the sun.
      Ares
      Ares
      In TreatmentUrgent Help Needed ❤️
Ares is our 72nd rescue this year. He was brought to the clinic with a deep and severe wound across his neck, accompanied by a serious infection. Because of the extent of the injury, the wound could not be stitched immediately. His body first needs time and medication to control the infection before any closure is possible. Multiple surgeons have been consulted regarding his case. Due to the nature of the wound, skin grafting is not considered a safe option, as it carries a high risk of rejection and additional suffering. Ares is expected to remain under veterinary care for a very long time — potentially up to a year — while his wound heals gradually with daily treatment and bandaging. Despite everything, his overall condition is stable, and he continues to receive regular wound cleaning, medication, and careful monitoring at the clinic. Ares’s recovery will be long and demanding. If you would like to stand beside him during this extended journey, your support truly matters.

        Barfi
        Barfi
        Adopted
Barfi is a sweet, shy, and intelligent cat who lived in fear for months in a yard where neighbors threatened to harm them. Now Barfi finally has a chance to find a safe, loving home. Barfi appeared in a family’s yard months ago — always watching from a distance, too scared to even fully open their eyes. They were terrified of people, sneaking out for food only when they were sure no one was around. The kind homeowner fed Barfi for three full months, patiently gaining their trust. After two days of gentle effort, Barfi finally allowed some closeness — a huge milestone for such a frightened cat. But the real danger was outside: neighbors repeatedly threatened to kill Barfi. Because of this, Barfi rarely left hiding, even when starving. After disappearing for two days, Barfi returned extremely weak — unable to walk properly from hunger. It became clear that Barfi could no longer survive in that unsafe environment. Despite everything, Barfi is sweet, intelligent, adorable, and incredibly gentle. But living outside was no longer possible — the risk was simply too high. With fear that the neighbors would poison or hurt Barfi, the family had no choice but to remove them from the yard to keep them safe. Now Barfi is searching for a safe, loving, responsible home — a place where they can feel protected, finally rest, and learn that not all humans are a threat. If you’re looking for a tender, quiet, affectionate, and truly special cat, Barfi may be the perfect match for you.

Bella’s story is heartbreaking, but her future doesn't have to be. She was purchased just a week earlier, but when her guardians discovered she was deaf, they decided they didn’t want her anymore. Worse, they were preparing to sell her to a breeder (someone who profits from the suffering of vulnerable animals). She was almost handed over to a life filled with pain. When we found out, we drove all the way to Esfahan to bring her to safety. Only after arriving did we learn the truth: Bella had always been deaf, but her previous owners hid this and kept changing their story to avoid responsibility. What they didn’t hide was their real plan: to sell her to a breeder. Bella is now safe. She’s sweet, gentle, and adjusting to her new life. Deaf cats live full, happy lives with just a bit of awareness from their families. All Bella needs is someone loving and responsible who can give her the stable home she was denied. With the right adopter, Bella’s story can finally turn into the peaceful life she deserves.

Update: Bella has found her loving forever home! 💛 She was sweet, gentle, and cuddly from the start, and she quickly won over her new family. Thank you to everyone who showed interest and supported her. Bella, a gentle, tricolor calico beauty, was rescued just as she was about to be abandoned in the cold. The vet confirmed she has mild anemia and needs a short period of rest and care. She’s now safe for a few days, under treatment and recovering. But time is short. If she doesn’t find an adopter or foster soon, she may have to return to the streets. Calico cats are known for their bright independence, sweet nature, and loyal hearts. Bella is no exception: quiet but loving, strong yet tender, she bonds deeply with the people who show her kindness. Adopting Bella means saving a life, and finding a loyal friend who will fill your home with warmth and gentle affection. Help Bella heal and give her the safety she deserves before it’s too late.

Camellia: In Memory of a Little Fighter. Camellia was found in one of the most difficult conditions imaginableک severely infected, with wounds around her mouth and nose, and struggling to breathe. Despite all this pain, she fought bravely for a few days under continuous care, and her initial improvements gave us hope. But tragically, her tiny body could not endure the intensity of her injuries and Camellia passed peacefully. Her gentle soul is at rest now, but our work continues — for her, and for every other rescued cat still waiting for a chance. 🌈🤍

                  Hamoun
                  Adopted
Hamoun — our boy with the most beautiful eyes. At only a year and a half old, he has endured more hardship than most animals ever should— yet he has never let suffering change his gentle soul. Life hasn’t treated him kindly, but he has remained kind himself: calm, patient, dignified, humble, and endlessly sweet. He survived the hardest days without complaining, quietly holding on with grace. When we rescued him, he was in heartbreaking condition: severely dehydrated, struggling with mange, kidney strain, and even a possible FIP concern. Yet even then, his eyes were soft, trusting, and full of depth. For the first time in his life, he learned that safety is real— that a gentle hand can reach out for comfort, not harm. He’s now treated, neutered, gaining weight, and medically stable. He is ready to leave the clinic… but he has nowhere to go. Hamoun is only 1.5 years old. His past is heavy, but his future can be beautiful with the care of one kind human. If you can offer Hamoun a calm, loving home، or if you want to support his care، please reach out. He has waited his whole life for just one real chance.

Update (In Memory): Our sweet Lili was with us only for a short time, but her gentle spirit and soft little presence touched all of us. Sadly, her fragile body didn’t recover, and she passed away — but she did not leave this world nameless, unnoticed, or alone. She was loved, she was seen, and she will always be remembered as Lili. Her memory stays with us at the shelter. 🌈🤍 Lili was just rescued and transferred to the veterinarian for urgent care. She is a white-and-gray kitten showing signs consistent with calicivirus and is being evaluated for possible panleukopenia. Her left leg was previously in a cast (now removed) and she currently has limited mobility. She needs diagnostic tests, treatment, and close monitoring. We are seeking sponsors and donations to help cover her medical costs and supportive care. Lili’s full story and detailed updates will be completed and posted over the next few days. Thank you for supporting her recovery.

The person who discovered him was in such shock that we immediately decided to hospitalize him under our care. Mulan is believed to be suffering from a severe respiratory infection, along with mange and significant skin issues. More concerning, he was injured by animal abuse, and his jaw has been fractured. His treatment has begun to stabilize his respiratory and skin infections, and a surgical consultation is planned so his broken jaw can be properly repaired. Until then, he remains under close veterinary supervision, receiving medication and supportive care. Mulan has already endured so much. We are doing everything possible to give him comfort, safety, and a real chance to heal. If you would like to stand beside him during this difficult time, your support truly makes a difference.

She recovered beautifully and needs support and a safe home. Panbeh was brutally kicked by a human-shaped monster. The impact tore her diaphragm and broke one of her ribs. She arrived barely able to breathe, fragile and silent from pain. And yet… she was gentle. So impossibly gentle that even while they were removing her stitches, she stayed calm, looking up with those soft, trusting eyes. Panbeh is one of those rare souls who somehow remain pure despite everything done to them. She is now treated and has recovered beautifully. She’s safe, warm, and finally getting the care she always deserved, but she still needs a safe home and someone who sees her softness and protects it If you’ve ever wanted a cat who is pure kindness, quiet patience, and endless sweetness… Panbeh is that little miracle. Thank you for helping us keep her safe.

Raha was brought to us with severe, long-standing injuries, including a diaphragmatic rupture and extensive damage to her right hind leg that had led to serious infection. She was admitted to the clinic, examined by experienced veterinarians, and received intensive care, including antibiotics to stabilize her condition. Despite the high risks, surgery was the only possible chance for her survival, and every decision was made with careful consultation and compassion. Raha underwent diaphragmatic surgery and fought bravely, but despite all efforts, she passed away a few days after the operation. She was deeply loved during her short time under care. Raha’s story is a reminder of the suffering many animals endure unseen, and of the responsibility we carry to try—always—to give them dignity, care, and kindness, even when the outcome is not what we hope for.

Tileh is the 70th rescue of this year. He was taken in for hospitalization after suffering from multiple serious injuries. At the moment, the priority is stabilizing his condition: treating his wounds, helping him gain strength and weight, and closely monitoring his health. The first surgical step involves amputating part of his tail due to severe damage. Once that surgery is completed and his wounds begin to heal, the next stages of treatment will focus on addressing fractures in his leg and pelvis. Tileh is receiving medication and care step by step, moving carefully through each phase of recovery. According to the person who had been caring for him before the rescue, the wounds were likely caused by prolonged irritation and medical complications, which is why close monitoring during hospitalization is essential. He is a gentle, beautiful boy, and his recovery will take time; but with proper treatment and support, he has a real chance to heal.

Update: Titi has fully recovered, was successfully spayed, and after completing her treatment, was discharged and returned to her original environment. Seeing her healthy and happy again was the best possible outcome. Meet Titi: our 63rd rescue this year. Titi is a beautiful calico girl who arrived in need of urgent veterinary care due to complications from repeated pregnancies. She was hospitalized, treated, and spayed as part of our standard rescue process. Titi is now receiving post-operative care and treatment, and her recovery is progressing well. For now, Titi remains under treatment and needs time, medication, and a calm, safe space. We’ll update her profile with more information very soon.

Torob is the 68th rescue of this year. She was exposed to calicivirus due to close contact with another cat and had already been examined, but the conditions for proper care and treatment were not available. Because she was living in an unsuitable environment and could not receive the care she needed, she was referred to us and admitted to the clinic for treatment and monitoring. After about a week of hospitalization and medical care, Torob made a full recovery. She was discharged in good health and has since gone to live in the home of a trusted friend, where she is safe and cared for.
